Shmuel Zahavy Cheder Chabad is a warm, spirited elementary school located in the quiet neighborhood of Thornhill. Here we are dedicated to educating and nurturing young boys, building them in to Jews who care - about Torah, their communities, and klal Yisroel. Our students receive a strong thorough foundation in Torah scholarship and classic Jewish values, in the spirit of Chabad - Lubavitch. Lessons are enriched with Chassidic warmth, imbuing the students with a deep sense of concern and responsibility for others.
Cheder Chabad is an expression of the purpose and goal of Chabad...to advance the cause of Jewish identity in the world. The school infuses students with a love of Judaism and a love of their fellow Jew that molds them into our future community leaders, rabbis and educators. The Cheder's curriculum is designed to equip students with everything they need to grow up as proud, conscientious Jews, with broad Torah knowledge and the strong commitment necessary to develop into Jewish leaders of the future. Students have the opportunity to enroll in a parallel afternoon General Studies education as well, which emphasizes English, Math, History and Science.
